In 1859, NEHGS received its first legacy gift from the estate of Dr. Henry Bond. In his honor, the Henry Bond Society was created to ensure that our growing collection and resources will be available for future generations.

Everyone who has notified NEHGS of estate intentions, such as a bequest, beneficiary designation of a life insurance policy or retirement account, or an income-producing gift arrangement, is included and recognized as a member of the Henry Bond Society.

Members of the Henry Bond Society are forward-thinking individuals who are leaving a tremendous legacy for future generations of family historians.
